Contribuisci feedback(NB. Aug 22 Review). This is part of the National Marine Aquarium, and although the cafe is not great, limited seating and tourist rate pricing, when we went it was packed and there was a massive queue. Food is edible at least. But view over the harbour is pleasant. I 'd recommend taking your own food to these tourist places or wait until you 're out and find a local cafe. But if you want something warm and not finished your visit, then you don 't really have a choice!
Came to the aquarium on a wet July day, it was busy but hardly rammed. 25% of the exibits including a few big ones were closed for refurbishment. We stopped at the cafe because we forgot our packed lunch. Tables were dirty and i had to clean it myself with wet wipes. No staff cleaned a single table while I was there. They had run out of sandwiches by 12:00 after only being open for 2 hours? The kids meal minus sandwhich was charged at full price, no discount was offered and they wouldn't make any sandwiches fresh. The staff looked overwhelmed and completely frazzled. Our meals took 20 mins to arrive for a couple of toasties... the chicken in the toasties was really tough and chewy, the chips were fine but it was overpriced for what it was. It's not even school holidays yet. If they can't run a simple cafe with a small menu now god help them on a really busy day. Dissapointing. Bring your own packed lunch.
Lovely venue, good food along with good dance music after upstairs. Would return for special occasion again. One negative they asked a very big group of women to leave, apparently they had complaints they were to rowdy, more like a group of young women having good xmas time, our group were very surprised about this, especially when the meal was not cheap and they left before desserts..
My wife and I visited on a wet September day. The cafe is average but has a good selection for children. There is free water. I got the largest ice cream I have ever had but it was a quiet day.
Went to have some lunch here about 2 o clock. Thought we would have cornish pasty and chips. Pasty was Ok but nothing to write home about. Decided against the chips as they looked thin and dried up and at £2.50 (I think it was) were not appealing. A piece of cake was expensive. I thought overall the food was over priced, the tables not that clean, and on future visits I would definitely bring a packed lunch.
