The Miners Arms - Plympton

We visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday, and we really enjoyed it. It's a beautiful place with good food, and I would definitely return, especially in the summer to take advantage of what looks like a large beer garden with a lovely view. There were a couple of minor downsides, such as our brat dinner being lukewarm, but the portion sizes were generous, with a substantial amount of meat (I had beef) and unlimited vegetables. The somewhat higher price was justified. The gravy, in particular, was exceptionally delicious.

This is my fiancé's favorite spot in Plymouth! I highly recommend the Miners Arms! We typically visit on a weekday before 7 PM to enjoy the three-course menu along with a pint of Rattler. The service is incredibly fast, and the food is always cooked to perfection. Many thanks to the chef, and the waitstaff are consistently friendly and attentive. Don't let the negative reviews deter you—this little hidden gem serves truly delicious meals!

What’s not to like?! This charming old pub features original elements, beautifully complemented by a lovely winter garden restaurant. The menu is imaginative and diverse, and there’s even a children’s menu. The friendly and attentive staff make children feel very welcome, and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. There’s a spacious garden with a play area, and the views are breathtaking on a beautiful day. Unfortunately, during my visit today with my daughter Carla and my grandson Bobby, it was foggy and rainy, but I've been here before and can attest to how fantastic it is when the sun is shining. There’s a large parking lot, conveniently located near Newnham and Plympton. Oh, and dogs are welcome too—just not in the restaurant for obvious reasons! A big thank you to the wonderful staff who made our lunch truly special!

Omg took only those in the set here for a lunchtime meal, the fish was the best we ever tried the other meal times certainly did not disappoint. beautiful creation very helpful staff, finally will be back.

Went to the miners yesterday, food was gorgeous, staff were super friendly and attentive. Was nearly put off after reading recent reviews, but, don’t be! Great little hidden gem close to home x
