Cafe Restaurante BAGO D'OURO - POCINHO

Um restaurante acolhedor à beira rio com comida excelente feita na hora e um atendimento muito simpático e atencioso. O preço foi bastante abaixo do esperado (17,50€ para 2 pessoas). Valeu a pena a viagem e certamente que irei voltar :)

Comida caseira, feita na hora, muito bem confeccionada, duas raparigas simpáticas a servir à mesa. Uma dose dá perfeitamente para duas pessoas, mas como não sabíamos que era tão bem servido pedimos um bacalhau à Brás e um à casa que estavam de maravilha ;)

Aceitando a sugestão dos amigos que me acompanhavam fomos almoçar a este restaurante no final da estrada. Junto à estação de comboio de Freixo do Numão e ao rio Douro encontramos um restaurante simples, típico da região e muito simpático. O atendimento foi eficiente e simpático, a comida feita na hora e deliciosa,por um preço razoável.

Um decoração típica da região (muito agradável), com pormenores pitorescos. O pessoal de uma simpatia impecável.A comida, regional de qualidade e quantidades generosas. Os preços são um pouco puxados, mas vale a pena.

We were staying at Biarro do Casal for one night . There are no restaurants in this tiny village so we were told of one, about minutes away, on an easy road. There are two restaurants on this road but being a Tuesday night,...the slightly closer one was closed. We were also told that Bago d’Ouro would “look closed” because their lights are dim and their door is always closed.. but if you get there before they are open (after if there are no people, they probably will close). The family who runs it are so kind, great sense of humor, the food was delicious — very typical — some meats, cooked perfectly, delicious fish, fresh beautiful simple salad, fries, bread, olives, great wine. There were maybe about dishes to chose from. Everything was simple, fresh, too much food — typical Portuguese large plates. But..... the two desserts we got were AMAZING. I don’t know what they even were. One was a passion fruit, creamy light something, but was obviously homemade, and the other was a beautiful layer something with almost a pancake type texture layered with creme fresh and cinnamon — I have no idea — it was amazing. We communicated in a Spanish, English, and Italian, as I fo not speak Portuguese, nor French, and the family was so kind, funny and forgiving of our inability to speak Portuguese. The experience was overall so much fun, delicious, and relaxing!!
