The River Market - POINT PLEASANT BEACH

I haven't visited this restaurant in years, and it really needs a makeover. I ordered the grilled veggie takeout and was not pleased! One half of the wrap was loaded with all the delicious ingredients—eggplant, artichokes, tomatoes, onions, and fresh mozzarella. However, the other half only had artichokes, which was quite disappointing. A good wrap or sandwich requires balance, and this one missed the mark.

As for me, I love quiche and was excited to try it since it was the special, but it was terrible—dry and unappetizing. I couldn’t eat it at all. The waitress did remove it from the bill, but she never came back to check on our table after delivering the food. Since everyone else had finished eating, I didn’t want to order something else and make my family wait while I ate, so I left feeling hungry. I might give this place another shot since my daughter likes it so much. A quick tip for the staff: please remember to check on your tables! There’s no excuse for not doing that when you have plenty of help.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The quality is excellent!

Always excellent! Everything is freshly made , fresh fruit, special bread, soups are the best! Only downfall umis closed at 3:00.
