We were not disappointed, the amuse bouche dry pork copeaux, ever a gratine oyster, mixed meat emptying) were also well presented. I had fish in crispy cale surrounded by orange pumkin sauce, which was slightly delicious. The desset was genuine chocolate truffle a chocolate cake just as delicious. The cook came to talk to us what we appreciate, We ended our vacation with a good gatronomic memory.
There 3 times a week, a dinner (special beef dinner event, 4 courses delicious), a lunch (4 course, best octopus ever) and a visit to the wine bar on the ground floor(best for a short break for a good glass of wine and something between to eat for a small price). This 3 cooking hat restaurant is a must, every time we're around.
We had a 10 course menu and it was an amazing experience. Even the thinks I normally don’t like were prepared in a style so I loved it. Don’t ask about the price it’s worth it.
We have been many times in this restaurant. Contrasting the rustical and minimally decorated restaurant the flamboyant dishes make every dinner here to be a truly pleasant culinary experience. The wine list, with a very selective high class Austrian choice, is always accompanied by the qualified advice of Maria Steffner along with Josef Steffner the souls behind this amazing restaurant. The mix of modern cuisine with traditional reinvented dishes get you in a gourmet festival!
3 toque rating must be a bad joke! We drove more than 2 hours in an anticipation of a kullinary experience of one year and left almost in an unbelievers. I know a handful of places without a soundtrack where you get a better food, much better service, a way better wine for a third of the price. Also everyone has a bad day, but you do not expect it from a restaurant like this and eur 480 bill for 2 people with a 6course house given menu and a wine pairing. There are some good things naturally a location and the surroundings are gorgeous, city is picturesque, Tanya the waitress is very proffesional and speaks English beautiful (but she goes on, on). The decert and one of the most important courses (a deer on asparagus with homemade pasta) were top class. Unfortunately, this is all. I can probably not accept an English menu if the trip is limited Covid and new Pissoirs so close that you literally have a shoulder with a stranger at the end it offers a way to communicate with locals. No ala carte orders only a tasting menu? Okay. What really sucks is the rest. If an owner serves your table, it is usually a victory in the lottery well not here though! Maria must have had a terrible day, perhaps due to the fact that the only qualified and English speaking waiter leaves and managed to recruit the bundles of Greenhorns Maria obviously has a long way to go. She was grumpy and impatient, ambarassed by her poor English and even a next course before we finished the previous one. The first four courses were well arranged and presented, but until the taste almost nothing remembers me. The champagne and a local wine, paired with food, were less than average, the last two French wines were ok. But the presentation of the wines was a pure dehone station, the only knowledge was usually written the names on the label. And if the martyrship finally comes to an end and you will be overloading a kind of expectation of apologies and coupon for a stay at your hotel. An additional fee for a glass of champagne offered with an amisbusch that I can swallow. But for a watter and a coffee we don't have is something I don't expect from a 3 toque place. Never.
