We used to come here often to eat as they have various vegan options... but that was in 2020 in the last few years the portions went all way down and prices up for example the tofu noodles I liked.. I used to be ful after eating them now I can go home and eat again. The other day we went for coffee to Go and they charged extra for cups what is next charging extra for dishwasher soap extra for plant milk !!! and we took some Vegan Cream slices they were delicious actually. Plac pod Bočem (meaning Place under Boč , Boč being a hill in Poljčane is located in a small Slovenian town. I grew up there and knowing the area I was quite surprised to find an establishment with vegan options (not long ago it was an issue with vegetarian dishes . At the moment, there aren 't many comparable establishments in the area, so you need to take a drive to Slovenska Bistrica (15 min with a car or Rogaška Slatina (20 min with a car , or rather Celje or Maribor (both approx. 40 min away with more vegan options (especially latter . Besides: this place has really long working hours, so the option to eat is there, almost no matter when. As of july 2019 the place offers vegan cheese (Violife I believe for pizza, vegan hamburger (tofu as a patty, grilled vegetables and french fries as a sidedish , different pasta that can be veganized on request and raw cakes (which they buy from someone else, so they 're not always available . But the kitchen is very friendly and helpful, so there is a possibility to order something not on the menu, which was the case with my girlfriend who ordered grilled vegetables with french fries and grated vegan cheese (she is gluten intolerant . One can also order two different vegan ice cream tastes (strawberry and mango if I am not mistaken. The food is very simple, but also very good, since it is fresh and well seasoned. Portions are big enough for a lunch (pizza is more than enough and the place is inexpensive (tofu burger costs 6€, large vegan pizza costs 6,6€, grilled vegetables with french fries and vegan cheese costs around 7€ . The place is quite new, it looks modern and nice (it is also quite big and it offers a nice playground for children , you can sit inside or on the terrace. Sadly, it is not as present on the web as it could be (there aren 't many photos, informations about opening times and menu available . But the staff makes up for this, since they are communicative, very friendly and helpful (we got all the information over the telephone . They know what they offer and what vegan or gluten-free means (which sadly isn 't always the case . The place itself could offer another vegan dish or two, maybe one obligatory vegan dish for the daily lunch options or something like that. But one way or another it is a very good start. Would recommend.
They offer a variety of vegan foods, such as burgers, sandwiches, pasta, pad thai and also desserts. The burger was delicious and flavourful. They also have vegan cakes, I got mango flavour and it was delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
