Golden Ox Burger - Pomona

Something caught my attention with its irresistible aroma. I turned to see where that delightful scent was coming from and discovered that Golden Ox, just a block away, was grilling their amazing chicken burgers. I immediately U-turned and headed into their parking lot on impulse. You know that feeling when something just "hits the spot"? The manager, Maria—who is both beautiful and charming—is part of this family-owned restaurant, and you can truly see that in the quality of the food; they genuinely care. The meals here are simply delicious. They have enough staff to attend to every customer's needs, all wearing company t-shirts and greeting you with warm smiles. The thick slices of chicken are marinated in a special recipe from Maria's uncle and grilled to perfection. That mouth-watering smell is what drew me in. I ordered a chicken salad for my daughter, and even at 3:00 in the afternoon, the lettuce was fresh and crisp. I was delighted to learn that they make their Thousand Island and Ranch dressings from scratch using another one of the uncle's recipes. This is a unique location, as the other Golden Ox establishments are under different ownership, and I wish there were many, many more locations. It’s definitely one of my top ten lunch spots!

I've never encountered any issues with the food; it's always fantastic. Plus, they offer breakfast all day!

The best chili cheese fries in town! You have to try them topped with onions—they're absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone who lives here and to visitors alike. It's a must-try!

Great place. Not as good as the original, the original was nostalgic and homemade. but, cheapskates wont rebuild the place so now we come here. hopefully same owners as the original bc years ago, this '#2 ' was totally #2. so bad we wouldn 't eat here. noticed upgrades and clean.

Here in Pomona we have two Golden Oxs'. I've been going to them since the late seventies and for the most part it was well worth it. The restaurant on mission ave.had small TVs' on some of the tables. For twenty-five cents you could watch tv for five minutes. Black and white of course. The food was good and the prices were very fair. The pastrami combo is the best.
