Cais Da Sardinha - Ponta Delgada

Our friends encouraged us to have a meal there for many reasons. So, we went for lunch to try it out and were so impressed, we made reservations for dinner the following day. 1st, we felt like royalty the way we were welcomed the staff were so friendly and helpful especially when asked about many of the meals and they all topped that off with 10 star service. I had the octopus a perfect portion cooked to perfection. My wife had the shrimp salad (anther meals just as good). Note, the lettuce was so fresh and crisp, you might think it came direct from the field. We were seated with the best view of the busy harbour with lots of activities. There were only a couple of empty tables and I noticed something unusual the lack of noise as we could hold a quiet conversation with no competing noise. Many thanks to our friend for the recommendation and we encourage anyone in the area drop by and enjoy a little slice of restaurant heaven.

Very good food! The octopus literally melts in your mouth, one of the best i ever had. I recommend to call for a reservation as it gets quite busy during dinner time

Excellent food, the waiter had very good sugestions. The octopus was amazing and also the torta the maracuja was a very fresh desert.
