Restaurante Cais 20 - Ponta Delgada

So far my favorite restaurant on the island!! kind of in a hidden location but several locals recommended it to us so we had to try. everything was so good!! they have a huge menu with interesting dishes, the wreckfish rice was so hearty and the portions are huge!!!

I am very picky with restaurant but this one is really good. The restaurant setup is much much much nicer than the photos on their webpage. Large space and well organized. Food portions are generous and very tasty from fresh ingredients. Staff are very friendly and also timely. Highly recommended

Amazing restaurant for seafood, garlic prawns not to be missed. tastiest sauce ever we had boca negra grilled fish, it was amazing. really tasty grilled on charcoal cinnamon ice cream for dessert not to be missed

We ate here 2 times while being in Ponta Delgada. We had both fish (grilled fish of the day) and meat (picanha on the stone), delicious fresh cheese and grilled sweet potato as starters, and both times food was very good. It's a huge place, with a very portuguese style, with a very long menu, which is opened until late at night, so if you have a late flight this is the perfect place. Service is paying attention to what you need. During daylight the view to sea makes you feel that you are on a boat, as you only see blue water and blue sky

Heard about this place from a local tour guide. Well, it did not disappoint. Went around 7 pm on a Tuesday night and it was quite busy but got a table quick with no reservation. 30 minutes later no seats left. Would recommend a reservation for sure as we got lucky. The staff were fun, friendly and patient with us tourists lol. We were served a plate on the table like appetizer and not told there was a charge for it so our bad, we should have asked I guess. Ordered a pot of mussels each......bad decision. The portions were so large that one pot would have been enough and the size of the mussels were out of this world. Delicious food and lively good energy kind of local family restaurant. Not a quiet romantic place but would highly recommend the food and experience.
