Hotel da Vila - Ponta Do Sol

Spend 2 weeks in ponta do sol and had my fair share of drinks at the hotel da vila. pedro and his team do a good efford to feel them and home. really good eating and often more in the offer than what the menu says. Great place for drinks, wee, eat and watch live goes by / people.

Avoiding the Bo ok ing. com we booked our self and saving 10% on the rate and having a bigger better Room. Stayed 9 days and are very happy with the staff. Good breakfast with espresso on request. And Ponto Do Sol is mostly warm...and sunny when Madeira is covered with clouds. Another advantage is a free accesable rocky Beach in front of the Hotel with Baywatchers to look after your safety. They have a boardwalk and parasols with Platform to lay down for free

Very nice appealing restaurant, very good and attentive service. I cannot remember the name of the local fish, but ask the waiter as it is truly the freshest fish you will ever taste!

We stayed at this hotel over four years ago and enjoyed it very much but this time it was fully booked so stayed at their Sister hotel ‘Eastalagem’ but ate at the Hotel Da Vila’s restaurant on numerous occasions! All the meals we had were...very good, the service was attentive but not over powering and the location is also good! The prawn dish starter was extremely nice as were the steaks,fish and vegetarian dishes. The hand made fries were some of the best I’ve had!

The food was good and we sat outside which was nice but the service was dreadful. Waited for a long time in between courses. After finished main course were never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Shame as could be a good restaurant
