I went there with my family to have afternoon tea, some scrumptious whole wheat toast and pastries. The quality is superb and the staff and owners are very friendly. The decor of the space is intriguing but very cozy. A great space to visit and enjoy its delicacies!
We found this place after reading great reviews on TripAdvisor. What a find!! Eight of us had a delicious lunch of Portuguese tapas and sweet and savoury crepes with home made sangria and secret recipe lemonade for the children. The food was divine, the service excellent, the decor quirky and unique and the location fantastic. We will definitely be visiting again over the next fortnight. Thankyou Mercearia da Vila.
Had an overnight in this lovely little hotel right in the middle of town, perfect for walking everywhere. We had the top floor suite overlooking church tower and river. Family owned and run and very friendly. Would not hesitate staying here again. Breakfast was fresh produce and delicious.
This place is fabulous. Food great, service excellent. We had savoury crepes, wine, and dessert. everything good. This place also does B&B.
A really unique hotel in the centre of Ponte de Lima, the dining room is the former shop, while the bedrooms have kept all the character of this period building. Having breakfast 'in the shop ', surrounded by shelves of goods, weighing scales, and all the other attributes of a 1920s grocery shop is a fascinating experience. The owner and his wife, in whose family the shop-now-hotel has been for some generations, produces a great breakfast, served from the former marble counter, and with a whole gluten-free table for my wife. Nothing was too much trouble. Close to all the town 's bars and restaurants, and the famous Roman bridge spanning the River Lima.
