Really strange and lack of education on part of the staff. We felt disrespected and left. So surprising to be treated that way in a city on the path to Santiago. I highly recommend pilgrims to not eat at this place.
Leaving Braga, our group meandered the region north. This region was most appealing with rivers (Vez), bridges, eco-parks, and attractive shops. This contemporary resto must rate highly with the locals. We barely got a table on the terrace The 1/2 dose of veal steak and mussel appetizer with wine and water were a pleasing combination. The bill was a bargain at 27E although the service could have been snappier.
We thoroughly enjoyed a meal at this restaurant finding the staff to be friendly and the food freshly cooked and plentiful. You should be aware that some dishes are only available served for two people.
Our family of eight (three generations) had been walking in the heat for hours, exploring the area during our holiday, when we came across this restaurant quite by accident. We were famished, but would have loved the food anyway because it was delicious. There was something for everyone quite a variety. The staff were solicitous, explaining to our young generation what they would get if they ordered certain dishes. It was clean, cool and comfortable. We felt quite spoiled. A table was quickly found for our group, and even larger groups would easily be accommodated. Highly recommended!
Six of us came out for dinner on our first night in Ponte de Lima and we were staying right next door and didn't feel like walking far. The staff were friendly and did their best to assist us with the menu. Unlike most places, they made sure we understood that a half order would be good for one person and a full order was meant for two. We ordered the mussels, which were the size of large oysters and done quite differently than other places we've eaten, the cod filets, and the lamb. Everyone enjoyed their meal and there was plenty of food to share. The one issue we had was with the dessert menu, which was heavy on pre-made desserts you's typically find at chain restaurants. The prices were very reasonable.
