Sonho Do Capitao - Ponte de Lima

Went for a birthday lunch with 9 family members. Portions are huge, can easily feed 3-4 people easily. We had seafood rice. Was huge serving. Will definitely come again. It’s was very busy and service a bit slow so gave 4 stars otherwise 5 stars. Our meal was reasonably priced at 127 Euros for 9 adults and baby so was not bad at €15 each. Recommend if you come here the mash with cod and bacon.

If you are looking for proper Portuguese food where the locals go to eat this restaurant is the spot. They serve high quality dishes from the North of Portugal. For appetizers the presunto is of great quality, the rissois and bolinhos de bacalhau are also very good. As main dishes the bacalhau a capitão and the sarrabulho are superb!! The environment is very casual and it tends to be very noisy and slightly chaotic on the weekends and during the month of August.

Very nice options if typical português dishes and lovely wine too. Is not expensive at all. Nice for a special dinner out. Don't be afraid of the silly doll they have in the middle of the restaurant.
