Looking for a restaurant for lunch on an rainy day. First we sat outside, then inside. Each time the waiter reset our table without a qualm. My partner had salt and pepper squid and I had the Thai salad- best salad I have had in Spain. Wine as recommended by the waiter complemented the squid/salad. Alas only in Pontevedra for the day, otherwise would have gone back to sample more dishes and wines.
I didn 't get the name of our waiter big hair, comes from Panama but he made us feel incredibly welcome and even called us back when my daughter had inadvertantly overtipped him 2notes sticking together . You don 't often get such a combination of friendliness, energy and efficiency, he 's worth his weight in gold! The food is tapas style and very tasty. Over 2 visits we tried quite a few things on the menu including the 'trumpets of death ' !! , the pork loin with quinoea and the hake but the dish I really loved the most was the tortilla simple and excellently made. The second night we ended up there the kitchen was open pretty late, although they do tend to run out of some of the items on the menu as the evening goes on. The wine was delicious too..... If only I could be back there, happy days!
Very good kitchen, varied menu and all suitable for CELIACOS.BUEN TRATO.Maybe the interior needs a small adaptation to make it something more current and cozy. Value for good quality
We'll sit down and have a bite to eat. The great bartender, the place too... but the food let us down. We returned the squids because they were very oily and they knew past oil, the tortilla and the merluza were a bit sous. We had higher expectations with the food, at least the attention was very good.
