El Rincon Chilango - Pontiac

My first time here. So excited to try the real deal Mexican food. I ordered the nachos and let me tell you those were some of the best nachos I've ever had. That was until I remembered I had some red sauce to pour on top so I dumped it all over the top little did i know, it was HOT. Very very spicy. When the cashier asked me if I wanted red or green sauce I didn't think about it too much since I was in a rush to get back to work so I said red but that was a mistake. Y'all need a way to let us foolish white people know that red sauce is not to be messed around with. Should change the name of it to El Muerte Rojo. I was fighting for my life but still eating it despite the fact it's painful since it tastes so good. I will certainly be back here to try the gorditas and sopes and explore new dishes. Next time I will ask about the spiciness beforehand.

Had a torta and churros. Delicious. Everything was great and came out quickly with friendly service.

The best mother's day ever. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the mariachis were enfuego.

The majority of the staff did not speak English, which made it quite challenging for us to receive service. We placed our order at the counter, which seemed simple enough. Then, we were instructed to sit down. After waiting for half an hour, we still hadn't received our drinks or chips, let alone our food. We practically had to plead for our drinks, and we never got the chips at all. When our food finally arrived, the steak was overcooked, and the only salsa offered was exceedingly spicy, making it inedible for me.

As a self-proclaimed wet burrito enthusiast, I've sampled these dishes from various places across the country. Recently, my long-time favorite was surpassed by the wet burrito served here. It is simply outstanding! Their chips and salsa are excellent, and the staff were attentive and friendly. My wife and son, who joined me, also had a wonderful experience with their meals. I highly recommend checking out this charming little restaurant!
