I'm about to dig into some apple pie now. I can't show you a picture of my meal but here's the aftermath (laughs). I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic, with a great selection of beers at reasonable prices. The chicken was a bit dry, but overall the meal was delicious. They offer Marston's craft beers like Hobgoblin, and I especially enjoyed the Hobgoblin IPA for its flavorful taste and ideal level of fizz. While they don't serve Stella, their San Miguel is a good alternative. I suggest visiting on Sundays for their 2 for 1 meal deal and tasty Sunday roast. We only spent £15 for two portions of hunter chicken, with more spent on beer as we had 4.
When my daughter and I first met with Andy at the Shah of Persia, we knew it was the perfect venue for her wedding reception. Andy was excellent at communication leading up to the big day, and we were impressed by his professionalism. On the day of the wedding, my husband and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Shah with our daughter. Colin and his team were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The red pepper and tomato soup starter was absolutely delicious, and every dish that followed was beautifully presented. The lasagne was particularly tasty. If you are looking for a small, intimate venue for a special occasion, I cannot recommend the Shah of Persia highly enough. Andy and his team went above and beyond to make my daughter's day truly special.
Friendly and helpful staffs A+ But my Food was disappointing. Burger and chips and full English breakfast.
Excellent. Brought my mother in a wheel chair. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was tasty. Price was great value. We even had an explanation of why it is call the Shah of Persia. 5 stars.
