Slipway Cafe - Poole

Decided to walk away from the regular restaurant chains in poole and so glad that we did. a delicious meal at riggers during the stay in front of location beautiful sunset view from restaurant and top floor bar (also better view) and a good place for post-dinner drinks. food very cheap. service very friendly. they would visit without hesitation, also well to support the rnli.

Large small restaurant with seat in the rnli college but open to the public. eating is nice, the prices are very reasonable and the staff are always friendly. the view over poole harbour is also brilliant, sitting up if they can! would recommend a visit!

The worst place I have ever been too….. it was a booking for over 15 people to celebrate my Mums 70th birthday. Booked over 6 months ago. Great views lovely looking restaurant but….. 1) Rude manageress as we arrived when you tried to talk to her she just stared at you with an attitude. 2) eventually sat down and asked for menus the waitress said she had to check if the kitchen was open. Bearing in mind this was a sit down meal we had booked. 3) The waiter pushed passed us cussing under his breath as he had a few drinking waiting for our meals. 4) FROZEN PRAWNS

A group of 8 of us went to this restaurant for a meal on a quiet weekend. Unfortunately, they did not have any draft beer available and did not offer bottled beer either, although some bottles did appear behind the bar by the end of the meal. It took over 1 1/4 hours from when we ordered our starters to when our main courses were served. The food was just average. When we asked about the ice cream selection on the menu, we were simply told "the usual" with no effort to provide more information. Overall, we were not impressed with the experience and will not be returning to eat there again, despite the beautiful setting.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with two friends, despite never having been there before. The restaurant was not too crowded and the service was quick. However, the quality of the food was inconsistent. One of my friends ordered the avocado and poached eggs starter, which she enjoyed and thought was a good value. The other friend ordered the salmon main course, but found the portion to be small and the dish to be bland. I decided to go for the fish and chips, but was disappointed. The chips seemed to have been cooked beforehand and reheated, almost burnt and too greasy. The portion of fish was small as well, making it not worth the price.
