Hôtel Terminus - Porrentruy

Essen war sehr lecker und sehr gut fürs Auge angerichtet, Hatte Fisch mit Gemüse und Kartoffeln, Sehr geschmackvoll und frisch. Dessertt mit Sorbet war ebenfalls sehr gut. Waren zu fünft, Alle waren zufrieden.

Neu renoviertes Speiselokal im gleichnamigen Hotel in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Bahnhof. Küchenchef Eric Serda setzt auf eine den territoriale Küche mit saisonal verfügbaren Frischprodukten. Im entsprechenden Rhythmus wechseln auch die Speisekarte und das mehrgängige Degustationsmenü, das jeweils auch in einer vegetarischen Version (Menu jardinier) angeboten wird. Neben der Qualität der Küche, die gegenwärtig mit 14 (verdienten) Gault-Millau Punkten ausgezeichnet ist, fiel uns insbesondere auch die schöne Präsentation der Speisen auf. Die Weinangebot entspricht dem Konzept der Speisekarte und stellt lokale Schweizer und französische Weine in den Vordergrund. Der aufmerksame Service und die im Vergleich zur gebotenen Qualität moderaten Preise rundeten das gastronomische Erlebnis im Jura zusätzlich positiv ab. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

The NEP Switzerland crew was allowed to produce the U18 Ice Hockey World Championships in Ajoie and Basel for TSN. It goes without saying that all the hotels around the ice rink and surrounding villages were completely booked. Porrentruy is a beautiful town, almost without exception very friendly and great people. The old town is a force. Clean and groomed. Quite the opposite to the hotel and its employees. The hotel is old that alone doesn 't bother you. The rooms would actually be nice and you could feel comfortable. But: the rooms are dirty, smell of grease and kitchen. The smells have burned into the curtains and mattress. We stayed for 10 days. It was never vacuumed, never dusted, no dishes put away, no bed linen changed, which was supposed to be the case after 5 days. The toilet and shower were never cleaned. The shower mat was folded wet and placed in front of the shower. The rooms are sparsely equipped and simply lack everything for a longer stay. The furniture is broken, the WiFi signal is barely there, the television is a complete disaster (it was never dusted here either). Apart from the fact that the chef doesn 't know about ventilation or windows, the food was very tasty. The arrogant staff, who whisper behind the guest 's back, take incorrect orders and, thanks to the incorrect order taking, are not prevented from adjusting the billing in the guest 's favor. The service is a complete disaster. So you want to orient yourself towards French haute cuisine and you haven 't found the way. The breakfast is a miserable disgrace. After consulting with the organizers, the manager of this establishment asked for a 20 percent surcharge for the hockey days when making the offer. In my very personal opinion, any sensible hotelier would have given the organizers a killer price (price reduction for 3 weeks of full house) and ensured that Porrentruy and this hotel would not be forgotten in a positive sense. It should of course be mentioned that we communicated the above mentioned grievances to the Gérant and asked for improvements. The resulting effort is as disappointing as everything else in this establishment. Conclusion: 140.00 CHF for such a “shithole” is usury. We will not associate the local residents and their hospitality with the incompetence of this Gérant and will keep this great place in good memory. The Hotel Terminus is the perfect example of how it shouldn 't be. We hope that this hotel will soon be replaced by a capable hotelier. In the meantime, you will do everything in your power to ensure that no one we know ever sets foot in this establishment.
