Westwind Pub - Port Alberni

The staff at this restaurant are incredible - they work hard and are very friendly. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic. There is a smoking patio with comfortable lounge chairs. My partner and I have always had a great experience here. Make sure to greet Ronnie - the friendliest bartender on the island.

We arrived unannounced on a quiet Sunday night with a group of around 30 people. I'm sure the staff was surprised, but they were very welcoming and worked efficiently to accommodate us. The food took a bit longer than usual, but considering the large group, they did an excellent job. I ordered a burger with poutine, and the burger was outstanding. The poutine could have been better with curds instead of mozzarella, but it was still enjoyable. As I am not from the area, I may not frequent this restaurant often, but if I lived closer, I would definitely make it one of my regular spots.

I love that this restaurant offers a Vegan menu and has a great selection of local beers on tap! I highly recommend trying the cauliflower bites and Beyond burger. They also make a delicious house-made Vegan queso that is a must-try!

We had typical pub food off the menu. They do have full meals and daily specials. The deep fried pickles and mozzarella sticks were typical pub food. Okay.

I came with my family after visiting the Hole in the Wall. We all ordered club sandwiches, water and Pepsi. We got our drinks as soon as we ordered and the food came promptly. The waitress was friendly and checked in appropriately. The food was delicious, however they forgot that one order wasn't meant to have tomatoes.The atmosphere was nice and the pub had fantastic air conditioning. I would come here again.
