The Thistle - Port Alfred

I have had the pleasure of dining at The Thistle at the Royal St Andrews Hotel several times, and it never fails to impress my foodie heart. This fine dining restaurant features a dedicated team that crafts dishes that truly amaze the senses. It is definitely a must-visit spot when you are in Port Alfred!

I had a fantastic evening at The Thistle Restaurant, enjoying its serene and elegant atmosphere. The dinner and dessert were delightful. Our waitress provided first-class service. For the main course, I had Norwegian salmon belly paired with crispy potatoes, and for dessert, we indulged in goat cheese and poppy cheese with apricot – a true delight. The wine list was exceptional, featuring our favorites from Anthony Rupert Weingut in Franschhoek. Thank you, Royal St. Andrew's!
