Shorty's Place - Port Aransas

An island classic. dirty rugged strange hot. perfect. the well-owner forces them to relocate the oldest bar of the inseln to decide for the apartment and even more upscale eating. that is what the island needs.

I set 1 star because I can't set any negative stars. I can't recommend this place. the owner is unAmerican. my wife and I were banned from this bar because they sing the national anthem of our country. even though the whole crowd was up, removed her guards and sang. totally brilliant! but I guess the owner didn't think so. without explanation are my wife and I are the only ones that are forbidden. leaving the culture has made her way to port aransas ... how sad!

This is the best dive bar in Texas. The people are super friendly, there is great live music, and they have a good selection of cold beer. Sunday Funday was amazing!

One of my favorite dive bars in all of Texas. I hear they're moving it in a year or so. Has withstood, four or five hurricanes, probably in its third location now, but Port Aransas is being regentrified. GO there before it doesn't exist.Proudly have a sticker on my car. Prime real estate section of my Auto.

I absolutely adore Shorty's. The atmosphere and live music are top-notch. Unfortunately, the service could use some improvement, but I'm not ready to give up on it just yet.
