Saltgrass Steak House Port Arthur

Yesterday, my parents drove in from Houston to visit, and when we were discussing lunch options, Saltgrass was mentioned because they are Landry's cardholders. I admitted that I had never been there before, so we decided to go. Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant, which I found to be quite cool. However, my positive feelings were slightly diminished when I noticed that one of my forks was dirty with what looked like baked-on cheese and gravy. I politely asked our waitress for another fork, and she quickly brought me one without any issue. Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse when the chop steak I ordered without grilled onions arrived at our table covered in a generous amount of them. I discreetly moved the onions onto a bread plate and handed it to the waitress, expecting her to acknowledge the mistake. However, she did not comment on it or offer an apology. Overall, the food at Saltgrass was tasty and there were no complaints in that department. However, the lack of attention to detail with the silverware and the customer service could use improvement. Having worked in the food industry myself, I understand that mistakes happen, but it is important to ensure that customers are satisfied and taken care of properly.

Today's lunch at this restaurant was excellent. I began with their tortilla soup, which had a nice spicy kick and delicious flavor. The 16oz medium ribeye I ordered was perfectly cooked and served with loaded mashed potatoes. The service was top-notch. I had a great experience here and will definitely be returning.

The food was delicious! I had the Blue Steak, which was cooked perfectly as a medium rare sirloin with crawfish and shrimp. The potato soup was my favorite dish. If I had to make a suggestion, I would probably leave out the crawfish and tomato from the dish. The only thing I would recommend is to ensure that the outer part of the plates are clean before serving them. It would make the presentation look better as there were a few food spatters around the plates. However, the service was excellent and the overall taste of the food was great.

The food was excellent. Company was exquisite. The shrimp stuffed poppers were off the chain. Spicy but couldn’t stop eating them. Service was excellent. Steak was juicy. Truly enjoyed the experience. Thanks for everything. We had an amazing time andwill be back.
