The food was average and chilli paneer was a mistake. One advice : Do not experiment with food options here, go with the basics : Dal, chawal, roti, alu bhujiya. It won't disappoint you. The staff is courteous and food is extremely pocket friendly.
Very expensive hotel price of single butter roti is 30 And without butter is 20 This is really very expensive And it's nearby hotel is CHOULA CHOUKA ROTI price is 10 rupees
We enjoyed the food very much, it was tasty, and fresh. We took our lunch here two days during our stay in the Portblair. Pure Bengali food gave us a full satisfaction. They also have lodging facilities in a moderate price, though we haven't verified the the conditions of the room and the other facilities.
Try to improve the fish curry....... because the authentic Bengali fish curry is not like that they served....food quality should be more better....... Because the Bengali food lover like authentic fish curry..
Average taste, way overpriced, RUDE service. Special Meals has only 3 curries in tiny cups and not enough rice, and no refills. Normal meals has better curries (green veggies). Rice or curries every extra bit they charge you separately on top of overpriced thali. Non veg special meal means a small piece of fish in a tiny cup in addition to same veg meal plate. Papad is soggy. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
