Cafe Santosha - Port Chalmers

I happened to visit this restaurant by chance on a Saturday afternoon, and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and the friendly, helpful staff. Although it's a bit tricky to locate since it's tucked away in an alley, it's definitely worth seeking out. Food: 5 stars, Service: 5 stars, Atmosphere: 5 stars.

I was quite disappointed with my experience here. After a gentleman directed us where to park our bikes, a woman then insisted we move them in a very brusque manner. Her rudeness was quite off-putting. In contrast, our group of 14 had a wonderful time at On the Spot and the lovely sushi shop down the street, where the staff were friendly and the service was excellent—qualities that were sadly lacking at Santosha. Once the bike trail is completed, I really hope Santosha improves its customer service.

What a fantastic discovery in Port Chalmers! The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was top-notch. I would rate all aspects as a perfect 5!
