Port Mor Centre - Port Charlotte

We stayed for two nights with our tent while cycling in the area. The facilities were excellent, featuring nice hot showers and a small indoor area. We appreciated the community café that was open daily from 10 AM to 8:30 PM. The food was good, and the staff were very friendly.

I really love this campsite! The location is beautiful, and the people are friendly. The coffee and dining facilities are excellent as well.

We had lunch after visiting Port Mor Café and enjoying some time at their playground, which is definitely the best on Islay! The café is lovely with a great location, and we enjoyed delicious food prepared by Ranga and his team. The staff was very friendly and made sure we felt welcome and relaxed.

Open in the next season, the caffe is operated by friendly employees and offers a good selection of which you can choose, although not cheap. two chicken-closed, two crimped and two slices of carrot cake have set us back £25. the camping site shower block is open around the clock and has washing machines etc. very clean and well kept. view over the bay of the campsite are beautiful and we were awakened by sheep who bleed in the next field, beautiful! it is a windy place, so they bring their headphones when they have to sleep peacefully.

Chequered on this one. Very helpful where vegan options were concerned (though options weren't on the menu, so make sure to ask), and the food was utterly delicious. Unfortunately, also had a scenario where we went for a takeaway, after being informed we would be able to pick up no problems, only to be told they were now too busy. Which left us up a certain creek, sans paddle. Thankfully found somewhere else, but not a great impression made there! Camping facilities pretty darn good though, which made up for a lot.
