Nessa - Port Chester

I've dined here before and had a wonderful experience! The food, service, and everything else have always been fantastic, and that was the case during my recent visit as well. However, it was so noisy that it made having a conversation quite difficult. The music and other sounds were overwhelming! I only get to catch up with this friend twice a year, and I feel like I really missed the opportunity this time. On a positive note, the lobster tagliatelle was excellent!

Nessa is exceptional! The food is remarkable, and the service is top-notch! The dishes are consistently fantastic, and the wine selection is excellent! No other restaurant in the area can compare! I've eaten there so many times that I've never had a bad meal!

I thought the food was quite delicious, but we were left wanting more. The portion sizes were quite small; they didn’t even bring out any bread until we asked, and even then, it was only a few pieces. I ended up giving my entree to one of my friends because he was still hungry. The desserts didn’t cater to any non-dairy requirements, and they were inflexible about substitutions. To top it off, the bill was over $200 for four people, and we didn’t even leave feeling full.

Had a very good dining experience at Nessa. I drive by this place all the time and noted it looks small from the facade, yet a friend wanted to try it, so we went. It is surprisingly spacious, and service was friendly. We shared a crispy calamari appetizer that had a spicy kick to it. I enjoyed the braised beef short ribs over sautéed escarole that just melted in my mouth. A friend had the pork chop that was not as tender, yet was flavorful. Another enjoyed the monkfish. At the end, we were treated to a tray of zeppole with dipping sauces as the Zeppoleme store next door had closed and we mentioned we planned to go there for dessert a nice touch! Only downside noise level that got a bit loud from the lively bar located behind a curtain.

We went for Sunday Brunch and the service was very slow despite there being only one other couple in the dining room. It took 20-30 mins for the first course to arrive and the staff also does not check to see if coffee/juice need refilling. The dishes were good and very well prepared.
