The building is on the smaller side, so it may get a little crowded, but since we came for a late breakfast, there was plenty of space for us.
The sinful salad is absolutely delicious. Fresh greens, tomatoes, radish, pickled onions, a bit of bacon and chicken warm from the grill. I had stopped in rye to charge my car at the nearby Marriott. The bistro at the Marriott is closed. I walked down the street and ordered this salad. I realized I had left my wallet in the car. I mentioned this to the owner who said in broken English “no worries , Pay me some other time”. Such kindness. I will, in just a few minutes. And did I mention, the salad is delicious! I will make this little place a regular stop on my long trip from Boston to Maryland
Located on Midland Avenue, this quaint café was a delightful and cozy spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast with a unique twist. We found a table easily and sat down to enjoy the ambiance. The coffee was served promptly, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My partner asked about vegetarian options and decided on an omelet, while I opted for the house specialty, the Chapin: two eggs (cooked over-easy), soft warm tortillas, a slice of white cheese, sour cream, a cup of black beans, and fried plantains. The plantains were caramelized to perfection and had a delicious sweet flavor. Mixing all the ingredients together created a delightful and flavorful meal. We even tried to practice our Spanish by listening to the morning show on the nearby radio. Don't be deceived by the outward appearance, as this café is a hidden gem worth visiting when in the area. The friendly staff and delicious food make it a must-visit spot that helps support small businesses in the community.
Okay, listen up. As the owner of Enkelin Restaurant, my friend told me about this great place and its quality is the only reason I wanted to visit New York! Keep up the amazing work! (I'm a friend of Mia's!)
I almost went after dieucks to eat a coffee, but I came here instead. I'm so glad I did it! the service was so fast and eating is delicious. (I wish there was salt on the house cups because they were a kind of gland, but this is a slight fixation. And I had not even expected to be home with my order, so it was a nice surprise to have it at all! there is nothing like fast fresh and filling food.
