This is a really cool spot! I've driven by it for many years, but now that I'm biking, I finally had to stop in. The food is fresh and delicious, and the cappuccino is fantastic. The service was excellent as well! I'll definitely be returning soon. Thank you!

Visited this bistro twice whilst at the test match at St Georges. Although compact it has a relaxing friendly ambience and the decor is based on previous port heritage. . The food is delicious and there is a varied menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. The staff are friendly yet professional and are keen that you enjoy your meal. The apple pie which is more like an apple sponge is well recommended as are the chocolate cigars. The coffee is a perfect end to a wonderful meal. This place is a gem and l can understand why its busy.

Baakens Bistro is incredibly popular. If you're planning on going at a busy time, it's best to make a reservation. I was at Baakens Bistro on a Friday night and it was packed! The food was fantastic (try the daily specials) and the servers were attentive. I would rate this restaurant 5 stars if it weren't so noisy in the evenings. Lunchtime is much better!
