City. When she visited this restaurant on her last trip back home, she was thoroughly impressed. The fish was perfectly fried, with a crispy golden batter and flaky white flesh inside. The chips were thick and hearty, just the way she likes them. The portion size was generous, and she left feeling satisfied and happy. This place definitely gets her seal of approval for authentic and delicious fish and chips.
**Parking:** There is street parking available, which requires a meter payment during the week but is free on weekends. Additionally, there's a nearby free parking lot. **Décor:** The pub has the charm of an old English establishment, complete with a slight vintage odor. It features a two-level deck on the side, offering a glimpse of the nearby park. **Food:** We were quite pleased with our meals, each priced around $15. The fisherman's pie and salad were enjoyable, while the roast beef was tasty, though on the smaller side. The fish was decent as well, but a bit greasy. **Service:** The service was friendly and helpful, striking a good balance between being available when needed without being intrusive. **Overall:** If you’re in the mood for some comforting classic dishes, this pub is a reliable choice.
The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, and the service is quick. The food is fantastic, especially the steak and mushroom pie, which is absolutely delicious.
