Turtle John's - Port Hope

Dropped into port hope on route to Ajax from a great weekend in prince Edward county and had previously been recommended to sample wings at turtle johns. We were not disappointed as the wings, beer, sports and service was top class. We will be back soon.

Went to dinner here a couple of days ago while visiting Port Hope. The inside appearance of the restaurant is very nice and modern. We choose to sit at the patio located in the back but it really need to be cleaned up. The seating area was fine but look like there was a additional area to the patio that is overgrown and had some old bar equipment sitting there. Someone should clean it up. The waiter was very friendly and the food was good however the patio had a visitor after we had finished our meal. It was a rat which freaked out my friend. Note: the rat was NOT INSIDE the restaurant but did come on the patio and I noticed that the garbage and recycling bins were located near by which probably attracted it. Kinda put a damper on the overall experience.

If you can stand the din of a house full of customers trying to talk to one-another over the noise of about two dozen big screen TVs, Turtle John's is the place. Food is roadhouse style and good. Lots of beers to choose from.

Variety of food, lively atmosphere, super friendly staff that made you feel like a regular even though it was our first time. Fish

Nice spacious place, neughbourhood bar, great food, outside terrasse, nice waiter, free parking in front. try the wings they make you fly. really good. good value for money.
