This is almost exclusively a seafood restaurant so choices are extremely limited if that is not your thing, and as the hotel is not just for fish eaters this is a bit...of a minus in our book. We had the beef stew (5 cubes in gravy) and duck breast (1 large, plain grilled) very simply cooked and almost no accompaniments (half an undercooked new potato, not even a salad garnish) which struck us as expensive for 14 and 18 euros. The waiting staff were efficient without being overly friendly, except for one lovely lady who worked out that a copy of the menu in English (there is one do ask for it if needed) might help us! This isn't a resort which attracts or caters for many non French so as a French seafood restaurant it is probably excellent the diners tucking in to their plates of seafood were obviously having a great time. As a hotel restaurant for a more international market it is disappointing and our experience was the major factor in our decision not to take breakfast at the hotel.
This restaurant, part of the Hotel Mediterranee is also open to non residents. Perhaps the most extensive menu of those restaurants we visited, and nothing to be sniffed at
My husband had a sole, the largest we have seen for a long time. I had Fruits de mer with extra crab. Simply delicious. We stayed around for lunch the next day and had bulots with aioli to start, followed by moules and squid. Everything...was so fresh and beautifully presented, no suspicion of the freezer here other than for the bed of ice.
