Los Charritos Express 2 - Port Lavaca

I ordered the quesabirria plate, and it was absolutely delicious.

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant for lunch. The prices are reasonable, but the food was just okay. My coworker and I ordered the fajita tortas with all the toppings, but they were somewhat smaller than average, and the fajita filling was a bit lacking. I also tried some fajita tacos, which were slightly better. One thing to note is that they only accept cash or Cash App—luckily, I had some cash on hand, but most of the time I wouldn't have.

As a newcomer to the city and after reading the reviews, I had to check this place out. It's cash-only, but I was prepared for that. I have to say, the carne guisada is outstanding—definitely the best I've ever had! It reminds me so much of my grandmother's cooking. Nobody can top her, but this comes pretty close! I'm definitely coming back!

This place is always on point. Great tasting beef, chicken and pork tacos. Easy to call and leave order, pickup is quick. Only cash.
