Margaret & Sons Pasta Place

This is the place to be. The pasta was amazing. Service so friendly and attentive. Prices were spot on. A pleasant dining experience at a family run restaurant. Well trained and professional staff. Highly recommend.

FOR A GOOD OLD FASHIONED AUTHENTIC ITALIAN EXPERIENCE YOU COULDNT ASK FOR MORE. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING, THE ATMOSPHERE COSY AND RETRO. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE OWNER MARGARET WAS BUSY COOKING IN THE KITCHEN BUT STILL HAD TIME TO COME AND SAY HELLO TO THE DINERS. WE LOVED IT SO MUCH WE WENT BACK THE NEXT NIGHT AS WELL AND MARGARET SHOUTED US A COMPLIMENTARY GARLIC BREAD WHEN SHE NOTICED OUR RETURN. TEN OUT OF TEN. THE GARLIC PRAWNS AND HOT CHICK PIZZA WERE TO DIE FOR AND THE PESTO RAVIOLI WAS SO SILKY SMOOTH AND DELICIOUS. OUR NEW FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT IN PORT MACQUARIE.

3 calamari rings on lettuce and tartare sauce from a jar for $14.50. Bit expensive for a place with plastic tablecloths. Creamy mushroom fettuccine. It was a crime to put that “sauce” on the pasta. I added a sachet of salt, the little cup of Parmesan that was provided but I couldn’t hide the sweet taste of what had to be powdered creamer. I ordered a little pizza and asked for the pasta to be packed to take home. It’s now in the bin. My dog wouldn’t eat it. Every few years I give this place a go and say never again. This IS the last time! Will stick to Enzos. Pity the lovely young waitress having to make excuses for the food.

I have never walked out of a restaurant after receiving food but there is a first for everything. We should have listened to the locals and the read the reviews. Menu is not appealing and everything is over priced for what you get. Kids pizza is was the size of my hand with store bought ham slices. One pizza came out with hair on the plate. The seafood pizza was covered in Tin tuna and was swimming in the tin juice. Not being stingy but never have we paid $22 for a 9” pizza. Final straw was $4.00 for a Woolworths fruit popper. Don’t waste your time or money. I will give credit to the lovely waitress who handled the whole situation she is nicest part about the restaurant.

**** service waited 2 and half hours for our food had a 9 year old and a 14 year old with us and didn't care about the people in the restaurant just concentrated on door dash and take aways and only got free garlic bread won't be going back I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
