M Y - Port Mcneill

Let me start by saying that I have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years, and I still go back occasionally. The food has remained exactly the same, which I find charming, and I always enjoy interacting with the owner. It’s becoming increasingly rare to find places like this nowadays with all the chain restaurants and superficial service. If you're visiting Port McNeill, this spot is a must-visit during your trip. Love it or hate it, it's definitely worth the experience!

I 'm only giving one star in order to make a review otherwise I wouldn 't give that much.My father of 72 and myself 53 were playing tourist all over Vancouver island and met several really great people and had great fun with all being total strangers. Then we went to the M&Y for dinner before r calling it a night. The waitress that seated us and took our drink order was a delight and a real gem. She had to ask the owner to serve us the drinks as she was under 19. From then on the evening turned into the worst experience. The owner delivered our drinks by placing them on the edge of the table. My father said thank you, how are you tonight ? As he served me my drink my father again asked. How are you ? The waiter (owner) huffed , ignored him and walked away without an asnwer.on the next order he served a drink not as ordered and when told so, only replied oh well and walked away.The rest of our service from the owner was insulting,rude, condescending and just plain despicable. No body should support this business to help the owner out of bussiness. A very poor reflection on Port McNeil.Terrible bland food and unacceptable treatment by the owner.

Terrible food, worse service. Get angry just thinking of it! Please don't support them.

Fake Chinese food, the owner really should take the sign off.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went there for lunch. Chow mien was just like unseasoned Mr. Noodles, too much breading on their prawns and pork balls. Chicken fried rice had rotisserie chicken. Not worth your buck.
