The Local - Port Melbourne

Great, family-friendly pub in Port Melbourne. The drinks and the food are well-priced. It was busier than expected on Easter Monday and the two waitresses on duty worked exceptionally hard, but managed to cope. We were a family of 7 and our waitress happily rearranged several tables to suit us. The chicken Parma, and Beef and Guinness pie are both excellent. There is a children 's menu which is also good. This proper 'Local ' has survived the pandemic and deserves our support! As a family pub it warrants 5-stars.

We recently enjoyed a fantastic lunch with friends and family at this restaurant. The open seating area with a view of the bay was wonderful. The $20 lunch promotion was a fantastic deal and great value for the price. It would be even better if they added wagyu steak to the menu. We will definitely return to try out the other main dishes.

The staff greeted us warmly and seated us promptly. I suggest they reduce the number of options on their wine list. The starting price of $45 seems a bit high for a typical pub. However, they serve delicious burgers and seafood pasta.

The restaurant opened on Good Friday. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy, perfect for a peaceful drink. The music they played was quite enjoyable and not too loud, unlike some other places.

Extremely friendly accommodating staff. The best chips I've ever eaten. Superb kingfish cakes and tasty salt and pepper calamari. Vast range of boutique tap and normal beers.
