Charlie's Mexican - Port Moody

We had dinner there and it was fantastic! We've been to many Mexican restaurants in Canada, USA and Mexico and this one is among the best. The churros (dessert) are the best I have ever had!

Great spot!. We went to Charlie's for the first time in ages tonight. The place was decently busy, about six tables were full when we walked in around 7:30 p.m. We ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole to start. The guacamole had a great lime-y flavour. I decided to try the Mexican soda. I recommend it! The mandarin flavour was tasty and not sweet at all, like a mix between Orangina and Crush. I ordered the beef tacos. It was six mini corn tortillas, spicy beef, and all the usual sides (green salsa, red salsa, cilantro, etc. . <br/ <br/ Charlie was there and super friendly, as always. He's a character! He had time to chat a bit to us in throughout the meal, and it was nice to feel so at home. Port Moody could use more mom-and-pop places like this! Go for the kitschy ambience, tasty food, and friendly service! You won't find anything else like Charlie's in the Tri-Cities.

My favourite place for Mexican food that is close to home. Excellent hospitality and awesome food.
