Sango Restaurant - Port Moody

Ordered much more saki that a single person would consume. asked for a container to take the rest after home. legal is not allowed.

I used to live near Sango and ate there every week because the food is so fresh and tasty! Their menu options are awesome and prices are competitive. I moved out of the area several years ago but since I still have family in Surrey, I visit often and we make a point of going over to Sango every time! I have never once been disappointed. The restaurant is clean and parking in the underground is free. Service and food quality are consistently excellent!

Took the wife to this place for dinner and waited for ages for service even though the place had only a few customers. Waitress ignored us while she laughed and carried on with another waitress, when I finally got her attention and asked when she...would be taking our order she seemed genuinely annoyed that I was asking such a question. I like to have a variety of sushi so I ordered 8 items only to have her tell me that would be 16 pieces total, I said I don't want 16 pieces I only want 8 and she said all orders must be two pieces of each, no exceptions. We got up and left, we went to eat, not to be dictated to about how much we had to have in our order. What the hell happened to providing customers with what they are wanting to eat rather than dictating how much they have to take. Went to Sushi Mori and had a marvelous meal and didn't have to have two pieces of everything I wanted to eat, great food, great atmosphere, great service. Thanks for being so rude Sango, you helped us find a real gem nearby, Sushi Mori.

Had lunch here after baby time activity in the library nearby. Easy parking. 5min walk from Inlet Centre skytrain station. Lunch menu range between cad13 to 16. I ordered few other a la carte items. Slightly more pricey than those causual take-out place. With the...decor and services, it is worth it.

Tried the combo of 8 sushi and California roll for $14.95. Was very good, nicely served. I liked the dishes. The tea cup is really special, covered with half spirals that sits in your hand just right.
