First day in town and close to the room. Had a little wait, but it was a Friday night. Seafood plater was good. Fish was very good. Staff were nice and very helpful. Wife got half and half tea so the waitress brought us our own pitcher so we wouldn't have to explain what we wanted to the person going around filling drinks. The guy delivering the food seemed very happy. We got whiffs of smoke and fishy water but that is what you get sitting outside on the river. Felt great before sun went down the breeze stopped, but it was cooler than inside. Good time but that fussy person in your group may want to stay in the room.
If you're looking for overpriced small portions of unflavored seafood in a hot sauna, well, this may be your thing. Had been told this might be a good place to check out, but never again. Floor fans tie wrapped to wall beams for your open air ambiance at 87 degrees. A dozen oysters 24 bucks, and .5 miles down the road, 17 bucks, and better oysters. Grilled scallop plate and fried scallop plate with a small portion of fries and two hushpuppies will run about $50. Absolute waste of money to sit and sweat while eating Captain D's seafood at three times the price.
Good food and good atmosphere. The deal were if you pay cash and get half pound of peel and eat shrimp is good.
Food is good the environment is amazing and also the service .
