The greens run fast and the fairways run narrow on some holes, so this is a challenging course even for the experienced golfer. Most of the tees provide a picturesque view with some gorgeous landscapingfrom adjacent houses. They host some cool tournaments such as the recent event honoring local first responders. Everyone had agreat time with prime rib served in the clubhouse at the finish! Definitely worth a visit. Olympic Otter
McCormick Woods is a pretty nice golf course. Overall it's well maintained, both on the course and off the course. Cart paths are easy and smooth, sand traps are usually in good shape, greens are evenly cut and tee boxes are seeded often. The staff hereare nice, especially in the snack house at the turn. The driving range is a cool setup a couple hundred feet from the parkinglot. Good experience here and not too pricey to play, just takes a bit to get to, but would play more here for sure.
Lunch with aunt and sister, pleasant room with view of golf course areas, not a huge menu but certainly enough to choose from, variety of drinks wines. We've eaten here a number of times, always tasty food, good service, SELDOM any room for dessert; infact, of our 3 piece (two sharing) 1 pc cod chips, at least half the meal went home with us very tasty, just largeportions! ???? Normally quiet ... a very nice place for being able to converse with your tablemates. We like it!
Greens were bes part of course. Unfortunately the rest of course was far far behind. Tee boxes very little grass, mostly sanded. Fairways spotty grass, mostly dormant and hard eractic bounces. Even with a discount the course was not worth thedrive. A real disappointment from previous visits. Won't be back, too many other courses in better condition.
Restaurant is open to the public. Bar has that old-school, cigar-bar feel. Food is good and reasonably priced by today's standard. Friendly staff.
