Barnacle Bill - Port Pirie

Nice food, had oysters, fish and burger. I presume it was the owner who served us, bloke was super friendly and polite. Very unique venue, and the branding is hilarious!

A must stop for fish chips. Good quality fresh seafood, generous helping of sauce, and decently priced! Service was also great. Would highly recommend!!

Best lunch in many years, salad included. Cost was $9.90 for a price of fish, 3 prawns and 3 calamari, chips and can of drink, $12.90 for the burger combo that included a drink. I can say in all honesty it's better than Barnacle Bill for taste and value, not to mention the lovely and very friendly staff. Well worth the day trip to try the food. We will be back for sure. My mom and I love dining at The Church of Fish and Chips, formerly known as Spirou Seafood Salad. My mom has been dining here with her friends since it opened and now we come here together regularly. My mom is 91 years old and has enjoyed every visit over the past 24 years. We look forward to many more visits in the future. My mom has a special connection with Kim. During our recent visit to Port Pirie, we stumbled upon a sign outside a lovely church advertising a daily lunch special for $9.90 for takeaway. The meal included butterfish, prawns, calamari, salad, chips, and a can of drink. The service was incredibly friendly and prompt, and the food was hot, fresh, and plentiful. We probably could have shared one serving, but ended up getting a meal each. The seagulls enjoyed the leftover chips, and we decided to save one of the salads for tomorrow. We definitely recommend this restaurant for its great selection of freshly cooked seafood that was absolutely delicious. Thank you!
