We booked ahead for a Thurs lunch and just as well...the modern, airy upstairs dining room filled within a few minutes of us taking our table. There is a...€25 3 course lunch option and I’ll cut to the quick....it was better than the €39 choice. The heritage tomato and mackerel salad was an excellent dish brought to life by a hibiscus sorbet. The starter on the other was a good lobster ravioli though over seasoned slightly in my opinion. Mains were both good, steak on one and chicken on the other but is was disappointing that both plates where accompanied by the exact same sides...a little lazy perhaps. Desserts were possibly a highlight and I’m not really a dessert person....the coriander meringue alone was outstanding. Both menus had an amuse which was satisfactory and a little cup of curried mussels with an espuma that held well....your best ever curry moules frites in 3 spoonfuls! Service was friendly, balanced and efficient. I did feel however that with only 2 members of staff serving and also having to concentrate on the more simple tasks such as tidying, it not only slowed service but reduced their ability to perform their role as professionally as they would like...one for the owners perhaps. A good lunch in pleasant surroundings.
A dining experience, not for those looking for quantity over quality... a choice of either 4 or 6 courses. The meal was excellent, the arrangement on the plate each being a work of art. The service friendly but still extremely professional. Each course was served...with the staff explaining exactly what each element contained. This was not just a night out or a meal, it would be best described as a dining experience, which we will definitely be repeating in the near future. If you are in the St LO area it is a must.
We had heard great reviews and booked for a meal at 7.30 we arrived at 7.25 in good time and it was 8.10 when our menu arrived and we were asked what we want to drink. from then on I felt that the kitchen slowly delivered the food until the restaurant was filled when the people arrived in it until 9.15ish, and we had decided to go for the seven cure menu and we came to our first head at 9.25 and our second finally at 10.15 at this point we had to go the desert course and coffee at which point it would probably be ready before we were finished. I could not justify leaving the time that sits between the curses for the old and decided to leave until 10.30. I wouldn't blame the waiting staff, but I feel it's a cooking and kitchen problem. the food was nice, but the time taken was too long and perhaps the cook feels that people like to spend hours with a meal, but after 3 hours for a seven cure should have been time enough. we had an 18-course menu aimsir restaurant in kildare, which has 2 Michelin stars menu that was done in 3 hours. I can't see where this restaurant 1
We were previously visited in the deep of the winter l’intuition and loved the fantastic eating and service, so decided to revise in another season to see what the cook could do with summer ingredients. he's just as good in summer. we ate the hottest day of the August heat wave, so quietly melted in our sitting, but it was no matter, everywhere was hot, at least we ate well. we ordered the 4-course menu with wine pairing, very cheap. while all the dishes were beautiful, I enjoyed mainly the lobster with hollow, blown rice and cured egg yolk as well as the superlative lamb. the rhubard dessert was light and delicate, but simply not the same heights hit as the banane and licorice dessert we last time. the wine pairings were excellent, especially the viognier. this is my favorite restaurant in the normandie and I will try again the menu in another season.
L’intuition is not very often open, so we have fought to visit a time, but finally managed on a quiet Saturday night between christmas and New Year, and the wait was well worth it because this is an amazing restaurant. the restaurant offers. set a fixed tasting menu of 4 or 7 and we went for the smaller menu that was very filled. eating was just extraordinary. while I was a little bit comprehensible how some of the dishes would turn out, I was completely blown away with how delicious it was all. each court was presented, built and conceived as before. the scallop entrée had plump and wonderfully fresh scallops in a beautiful flower cabbage sauce, the first head of monks with tempourage vegetables was perfectly boiled and a joy, while our second head of pigeon with quitten and haseluss kartoffels was addicted. Finally, I can't say enough good things about the desserts caramelized bananas with chocolate and licorice and parsely. the room is small and cozy and offers a beautiful view over the old city fortifications. we paid 75 eur per person who was the quality a bargain. we will return happy, and soon I hope.
