Gts On The Beach - Port Stanley

I dined here last night and felt incredibly safe eating at this restaurant! I highly recommend it for anyone with celiac disease. I ordered a hamburger and fries cooked in a dedicated gluten-free fryer, and it was absolutely delicious! They offer a gluten-free menu, and the server even asked if my request was due to an allergy or intolerance. When I mentioned that I had celiac, she reassured me that they take allergy precautions very seriously and even had the chef come out to let me know she is also celiac, so I had nothing to worry about! There are plenty of gluten-free options, and my food was served with sticks labeling it as gluten-free. Overall, it was an AMAZING experience, and I will definitely return!

They claim to be "gluten aware," but I found that their rice isn't gluten-free, and their sauces still contain gluten. I ordered the Mexican rice bowl, which was supposed to be gluten-free, but I quickly realized it wasn't. A few bites in, I could tell the rice had gluten. It was incredibly delicious, and I really wish it had been gluten-free. I hate to say it, but I ended up making myself sick to alleviate the discomfort.

There are plenty of choices available, and it's located right on the beach. I tried the Perch tacos, and they were fantastic. About half of the menu is gluten-free, and the staff really know their stuff. They offer New Grist and Strongbow at the bar, which is a nice touch. The location is amazing, although I wasn't sure about the dedicated fryer. It didn't seem like any of the gluten-free options were fried, though.

We enjoyed a lovely, laid-back dinner here two nights ago. I had the Turkey Burger with sweet potato fries, and everything was great. I would definitely come back for a burger or another simple meal.
