I’ve been there years ago and had wonderful experiences. We had a 5:30 reservation and finally got our dinner at 7:15 after multiple tables who arrived after us were served. The waitress came over several times to say it was coming and then told us the “owner” was coming to talk to us and maybe give us “something.” Also, our first round of cocktails was dropped before making it to the table. We are a foodie family and frequent nice restaurants. When the kitchen gets slammed, we have always been comped a round of drinks or bread service to tide us over. Those small things stop a bad review because it makes the customer happy. We were offered nothing. I’m super sad with this experience because it was a special night and I can tell the owner wants to do better, but the staff are struggling.
It was a very nice place with a wonderful staff and the food was ok.
My friend and I had an early dinner at Twisted Willow last night and we both agreed that our meals were fantastic. I had the mushroom stroganoff and the pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was very herby and flavorful, and the ingredients were very fresh! I can't wait to come back!
Parmesan Crusted Walleye was out of this world!!! Can't decide what was better: The fish was very nice. It's preparation delicious. And the vegetables were so fantastic that they try to rival the fish. All-in-all: Wonderful. Accompanied by a very nice French Rose from the Loire valley. Parking: Across the street village parking lot
Should receive Michelin consideration, this is a must stop when in the area. The sirloin, carrot cake, mixed drinks, and even the coffee is well thought out and executed.
