Stoney Creek Barbecue - Porterville

I arrived at the restaurant and waited 20 minutes to place my order, which included a half pound of pulled pork and a taco combo. After that, we waited an additional 45 minutes for our food, while others who ordered after us received their meals first, despite not ordering more than we did. When our food finally arrived, it was mediocre at best. The pulled pork lacked flavor and was quite unappetizing. The tacos were the only decent part of the combo. Unfortunately, the rice and beans were so overly salty that they went straight to the trash; it felt like drinking salt water with added salt. Given the price, portion sizes, and poor taste, it was not worth the money. The only positive note was the friendly staff, but unfortunately, the food was a letdown.

We really enjoy dining here because the food is excellent. However, I’ve noticed that the phone often goes unanswered when I try to place an order. Additionally, it would be great if the restaurant could stay open later than 6 PM, as that’s when many working individuals begin their dinner.

The asada tacos and tri-tip sandwich were absolutely delicious! Totally worth it, and I would definitely come back. The service wasn't super fast, but great food takes time to prepare.

Foods always great !Little pricey though but worth it for the experience. Store has gotten really expensive and gas isn’t the cheapest option anymore. Don’t know what happened but if it wasn’t for he friendly staff, I wouldn’t even frequent the store any more.

Food was not good. Service was amazing by far the best I've seen in awhile but the wood just wasn't good at all
