If you want THE suckling pig in the Algarve, this is where you have to go...

A simple restaurant next to the N125 road but gosh, the food is great! Try the suckling pig (leitão) and the roast chicken (frango no churrasco). Both are superb fabulous crackling and tender meat. True to Portuguese tradition, we ordered a bottle of sparkling red wine to accompany the suckling pig. It’s fresh fruity and goes really well with the pork. Order the salad as well the lettuce is a beautiful green and the tomatoes are divine! On my second visit, I had the ‘Secretos’ grilled pork. The meat was so tender and the fatty edges were like melt in your mouth crispy bacon! Heaven! Prices are very reasonable and service is friendly. They speak English.

Nobody paid attention to me, finally...l asked kindly if l could have a take away.. the cooker started to shout NO!! WE DON ' T MAKE TAKE AWAY!! It was very unprofessional!!

The roast pig here is so good. Also enjoyed the roast chicken. Atmosphere is very local, with families enjoying lunch. Very clean and welcoming. Staff is very helpful.
