Akira Sushi - Portland

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. None of the sushi tasted fresh, and the rice was dry. The tempura was soggy, and the calamari had a rubbery texture. I ordered seven different rolls, and the only ones that were enjoyable were those wrapped in cucumber. Overall, it was a letdown and definitely not worth the $40 I spent.

It was quite busy, and there were plenty of options on the menu. However, nothing stood out as particularly impressive that would make me want to recommend it to friends. My experience felt rather ordinary, lacking any sense of uniqueness. The food, the staff, and the seating arrangement all had a very franchise-like feel to them. Ultimately, it's just an average sushi restaurant.

This was my second time ordering from Tokyo Style Sushi, and once again, my order was incorrect. I requested two salmon and one shrimp sashimi, but I received two salmon and no shrimp again. Everything else was perfect and delicious, though!

I had a fantastic experience with quick and affordable sushi here. It's significantly cheaper than other sushi spots in my neighborhood. The service was prompt, and the food tasted great. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5.

The food was excellent, but there was a mistake with my order. They offered a refund to make things right, and I need a $1.91 refund for the missing shrimp. I will definitely order again!
