Very, very overpriced for very simple, small portions. it was served in small pancakes, which makes it almost impossible to manoeuvre the food. we had to wait too long to get even drinks, although on Tuesday at 14 o'clock and not busy. When we had finished eating, we had to go into the bar to close our bill after 15 minutes. 2 salads, cheese bread and 2 drinks have almost $70 total! my child could eat better than this place, for a fraction of the price.
They have been downhill since the last visit. I suppose the pandemic has caused problems, but eating is simply not worth the price. They would better go to a chain restaurant at this point. the only positive thing I can share is that the employees were very friendly and positiw, although they could say they worked with less resources than they needed. Waiting times were something on the long side, but I'm pretty sure they weren't responsible. they had a live band outside and various music in the inner (very minor grip.) they used paper cups for our drinks, both soda and coffee and had no good choice of sweeteners. they can also say how clean a device is by making their bathroom exhaust fan, I know it sounds strange, their was heavily baked with dust. Overall, I would avoid amalfi’s, unless they only have a cocktail or beer.
Wonderful Italian cuisine. if they are located in fremont street opposite portland, I would highly recommend this well established Italian place. delicious food and very fast service.
So disappointed. We called early and were told no reservations needed for parties under 10. However, when we arrived, the dining room was full and we were directed outdoors. We were not dressed for outdoors. We sat for 3 minutes discussing whether or not we should leave. I remembered a quality dining experience in the past, so I encouraged my companions to stay. We were subjected to live music we didn 't really enjoy because the sound system was over modulated and the band was too casual about their performance. My sciatic nerve does not enjoy hard picnic table seats, and the party next to us was so drunk they were screeching laughter over the sound of the music. My party couldn 't even have a conversation. We wasted at least 5 minutes trying to figure out if we needed to order through their online app (register your email first? While hungry? or should we approach the window? We finally approached the window, waited in line, and then a nice fellow explained it was either, whichever is easier. (Does anyone find that app easier? Maybe if English is your second language... So we got our order in, which was cool, but then the desert came first. We laughed about that, ate the desert before the entre. The Sangria I ordered was way too full and I spilled it on my eating surface. At one point a woman in a Amalfi 's family shirt came and explained that the short staffing means she does better with outdoor seating than indoors. Some of us were seasoned veterans of restaurants and understood this to be a management issue. I was so disappointed I 'll never be back. One problem? Okay. But all of this? Sorry, folks you 've lost a long time fan.
