Campagna - Portland

There is not another restaurant in Portland, CT that has such high quality, imaginative menu. The family and other servers are very friendly and all about the restaurant She's back for more what we do once or twice a week.

Wow, just wow. We drive for a while to Campagna and get apps and drinks at the bar, always really good. You have big wings! Have often stopped as an after-work treatment. We had a rare day together and wanted to make a nice dinner. I read the local river-east paper and saw an ad for a five course meal for $30, and thought they accidentally returned something from the 1990s. We went early on a Tuesday, wondering how a nice five course meal could possibly be for this price. We were both amazed at the fantastic quality of everything. This is a family house, and so they feel. We ordered a bottle of beautiful California Cabernet from a respectable wine list. Remarkable that $50 bottle is usually $65 in most other restaurants. Appetizers: Zupa di Mussels, generous part of the offer, melt in the mouthshells in a delicious white wine brew with fresh garlic. They brought roasted bread to dive, but the house bread also worked great! My wife had the Stuffed mushrooms that were brilliant! We had both a penne a la vodka for the pasta course, delivered cakes hot with delicate asparagus and sun-dried tomatoes, and absolutely delicious. We realized at this point that we had just decided to share a meal for the record charge, as we would have been satisfied. Our server has rightly proposed to go only the salads, and to the right to the ducks. I had chicken parmigiana, out crisp, inside tender and amazing marinara sauce. The Chicken Marsala was great, I had a few bites and was very impressed. We share a chocolate cake dessert, and they packed our second dessert to go. Maybe. I should check her left penne a la vodka, salad, chicken marsala tomorrow. (I think we took home more than we actually ate there! I guess her remnants will be a better meal than other meals. This is no longer just a place for us to get apps at the bar. Absolutely fantastic dinner. First sentence. Family run, and clearly run with pride. No wonder they're busy on Tuesday. Thank you.

My son and his girlfriend from Florida came to visit me and meet my family for dinner. The restaurant has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The food is authentic and delicious. I highly recommend it!

We ate here for the first time and were very impressed. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. The service was also very good.

I absolutely loved it! The traditional Italian food with a creative twist was fantastic- the chicken with vodka orange sauce was delicious! The staff was friendly and welcoming. They didn't rush us through dinner, instead providing kind and attentive service. It was our first time dining there, and we can't wait to go back for another delightful experience.
