City State Diner And Bakery - Portland

I order the George an added gravy, it was the absolutely best breakfast I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious. The big added bonus is they serve Cellar Door Puddletown drip, it's so very delicious. Such a great place for breakfast. My family has been their atleast 8 times and we've never left disappointed and have always left happy. The servers have always been great and the food has always been fantastic.

Server was slow on every aspect and twice forgot about coffee refills he was getting us. Forgiven because it was a Sunday morning. Food was good. Biscuits were too salty. Gravy on biscuits was minimal and not amount you would expect. Eggs Benedict’s were awesome. Perfectly cooked eggs, fresh tasting and flavorful ham. Bacon Brie scramble was good as ever according to a regular that took us there. When we did get coffee it could have been hotter. Would go back.

A charming little spot for a traditional breakfast. The atmosphere is cozy, and it's definitely worth a visit!

City State is a laid-back and inviting restaurant offering delicious food at reasonable prices. Our server was attentive and did a great job accommodating our dietary restrictions. The staff is consistently quick and friendly. I've never had a negative experience here; I always appreciate the coffee and selection of dishes available. It truly embodies what a Portland diner should be.

I had high hopes of giving this charming little spot a 5-star rating, but the service was quite slow. The restaurant was bustling, and the food was exceptional—the waiter was incredibly friendly. They managed to squeeze in as many tables as they could in the small space. Parking is virtually nonexistent, but then again, this is Portland. If you're not in a rush, I definitely recommend stopping by! By the way, there were 9 of us in our group.
