Great food! very cool mood and atmosphere. we arrived early (430) to hit the crowd and it was booked so we sat in the lounge. the personal was also very nice. I can't wait to go back.
Great classic prime rib and steak restaurant.? since the 1950s it is a staple of portland. the prime rib is very good. we share the 16-oz dinner and added a clydes Ceaser salad? and even though it had to get quite the hot cherry? the baked was beautiful and flaky and a good amount of tarry? fill. we enjoyed our meal and will be back again. they take reservations and have an illuminated sign outside to let them know if they are full. if you like jazz, look at the lounge.
We ate dinner in the lounge area. it is very cozy and dark. if they prefer a lighter experience, the main room is for them. clydes is known for their main rib, but I had the healed and loved it. much nice to go with it too.
To be honest I wasn't really sure about this place. It looks really old school. But everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the desserts. Our steak was ordered medium however it was more rare than anticipated. Lobster was slightly overcooked but still delicious. It was very dark and quiet inside probably nice for date night. It seems they do offer days when they have live music, may have to come on another day for that. Other reviews are pretty much on point.
